/ world today news/ The conservative party of ex-prime minister Boyko Borisov ranked first in the early parliamentary elections, ahead of the Socialist Party, which advocates rapprochement with Russia, AFP reported, referring to an exit poll.
The agency points out that Borissov will have to form a coalition with the nationalist United Patriots parties, with which he has said he is ready to govern.
AFP points out that tensions with Ankara and the weight of Russian influence dominated the campaign, even as widespread corruption and low living standards worried voters in the EU’s poorest country. /AFP
