Afghanistan Pacer Naveen ul Haq Announces Retirement from ODI Cricket

Thiruvananthapuram: Afghanistan pacer Naveen ul Haq has announced his retirement from ODI cricket. Naveen-ul-Haq has announced that he will retire from ODI cricket after the ODI World Cup in India.

Naveen was ruled out of the T20 series against Bangladesh due to a knee injury. Later Naveen underwent surgery in England. Naveen said that ODI cricket is enough as per doctor’s advice.

Naveen stated that his focus will now be on T20 cricket and if he wants to extend his career, he has been forced to take the difficult decision of quitting ODI cricket. Naveen said that he was lucky to be able to prove his athleticism to play in the ODI World Cup.
