Kabul ∙ The Taliban government has banned Afghan female students from writing university exams. The Ministry of Higher Education has written to the private universities of the country in this regard.
The letter warns that if the girls are admitted to the examination to be held next month, they will face severe legal action. Last month, the ministry had ordered to ban girls’ college admission. After this, the activities of women’s NGOs were also stopped. Most of the schools attended by girls are closed.
