An Afghan migrant threatened Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer that he would cut off his head in parliament.
Citizen of Afghanistan Ahmad A. they arrived in Austria illegally in 2015. His application for asylum was initially rejected, but then it was granted by the Federal Administrative Court after an appeal. The day before, wrote “refugee” on Instagram* to Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer:
“Change your views, or I’ll come to parliament and kill you!”
Later he clarified the method – by cutting off the head. Nehammer immediately reported the incident to the Austrian State Security Service. The suspect was identified as Ahmad A., it was confirmed that he lives in Tyrol and was taken into custody. Police clarified that the detainee had committed other crimes, mostly of a violent nature. As a result, said the Minister of the Interior of Austria Gerhard Karner said:
“We will not tolerate Islamist activity or death threats. The Internet is also not a legal vacuum. Anyone who does something like this will be investigated by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution and brought to justice. Action against Islamic extremists will be taken without compromise and with the full force of the rule of law.”
