Bolzano – The development of energy prices and security of gas supply are causing more and more companies great concern. The General Council of the South Tyrol Entrepreneurs’ Association has invited the Alperia leadership to an exchange.
In their remarks, Alperia General Manager Johann Wohlfarter and his designated successor Luis Amort pointed out the current great complexity of the energy market, especially with such large fluctuations in prices. “Nevertheless, Alperia tries to offer its customers not only cheap but also stable price offers. Both families and companies have benefited from this over the years.”
Nevertheless, due to international developments, prices have risen enormously. Many companies are under enormous pressure due to this cost explosion, as well as the other challenges associated with supply bottlenecks and labor shortages. “The social mandate of the state energy company should continue to be that of guaranteeing families and companies affordable, green energy,” said Heiner Oberrauch, President of the Business Association.
The discussion also made it clear how seriously the entrepreneurs take the task of actively shaping the energy transition. “We all have to do our part to combat climate change. Digitization, technological progress, investments in renewable energy systems and efficient production processes as well as new solutions such as energy cooperatives create the best conditions for this,” emphasizes Oberrauch.
The General Council of the Entrepreneurs’ Association then thanked Johann Wohlfarter for the very good cooperation over the years. “The framework agreements for the energy purchasing group and the joint commitment to a secure, efficient power grid in the metropolitan areas, but also in our valleys, are particularly noteworthy,” summarizes the president of the business association. Everyone was convinced that the good cooperation would continue with the new General Manager Luis Amort.
