The company dedicated to trips in shared private cars, BlaBarCar, already connects A Coruña with Porto and Paris. This Wednesday the company’s first bus visited the city station to pick up the passengers who started the tour in these red vehicles. The complete journey between the Portuguese city and the Gala has a duration of 24 hours and a price of 49.99 euros during the Easter season. A Coruña is one of the stops that the bus makes, as is the case with Vigo. In addition, this new line will call in cities such as Bilbao, Santander, Oviedo, San Sebastián and Braga.
For the A Coruña-Paris route, the price is similar to that of the total journey, while the price between the city and Porto is around fifteen euros. Rates, however, are variable. The director of institutional relations and communication for BlaBlaCar in Iberia and Latin America, Itziar García, assures this medium that “with the new BlaBlaCar bus routes we seek to operate on large axes to offer a multimodal road transport proposal. Through our platform you can book a route from Paris to A Coruña, and at the same time look for a shared car ride from A Coruña to towns like Cerdido or As Somozas”.
With the cancellation of the link to the French capital at the Alvedro airport, this road route may be an option for all those who want to travel to the French city cheaply. The launch of new bus routes aims to cross borders connecting large cities and optimizing road transport, according to the company.
