Singapore vs Vietnam ended in a 0-0 draw in the 2022 AFF Cup Group B match at Jalan Besar Stadium, Kallang, Singapore on Friday (30/12/2022) evening WIB. The Lions were able to reduce the Golden Star Warriors’ onslaught until late in the game.
These results put Vietnam still at the top of the table with seven points. Singapore remained in second place on the same points but lost on goal difference. Vietnam has a goal difference surplus of nine, while Singapore has a surplus of three.
Malaysia is in third place with six points. The top three teams will compete for two tickets to the semi-finals.
Vietnam has the greatest chances of qualifying from the group stage. The reason is that in the last match they will meet Myanmar who will be definitively eliminated from the AFF Cup 2022.
Myanmar are currently fourth in Group B with one point. A draw against Myanmar is enough for Park Hang-seo’s troops to advance to the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, Singapore and Malaysia had to kill each other in the final match. The duel titled Causeway Derby will take place at Malaysia’s home stadium, Bukit Jalil, Stadium, (3/12/2022).
Singapore, like Vietnam, only needs a draw in their last match to qualify for the semi-finals. Meanwhile, the Malaya Tigers have to win.
