FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The Indonesian National Team training camp for the 2024 AFF Cup is going to take place from November 26 to December 5, 2024. The players will go to a training camp on the island of Bali.
The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) itself has named 31 players who will be ready to participate in the 2024 AFF Cup.
As previously reported, PSSI wants young players or U-22 national team players to participate in the biennial tournament between Southeast Asian countries.
PSSI also called up players who play in Europe, such as Justin Hubner, Ivar Jenner and Marselino Ferdinand.
However, the three players may not be released by their clubs as the AFF Cup is not on FIFA’s agenda.
In addition to Hubner, Jenner, and Marselino, the national team for the 2024 AFF Cup coached by Shin Tae Yong also called several other players who play abroad, such as Asnawi Mangkualam, Pratama Arhan, and Rafael Struick, as well as Ronaldo Kwateh.
The AFF Cup, known this year as the Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2024, divides the participating teams into two groups. Indonesia is in Group B with Vietnam, the Philippines, Myanmar and Laos.
Team Garuda’s struggle in the group stage will begin on December 9 with a visit to the headquarters of Myanmar, then host Laos on December 12, visit Vietnam on December 15, and finally host the Philippines on December 21.
