AFF Cup 2024: Thailand Without Chanatip, Theerathon, Dangda, Supachai

Thailand name 26 players for AFF Cup 2024. There are no names Chanatip Songkrasin, Theerathon Bunmathan, Elias Dolah, or Supachai Jaided.

Thai coach Masatada Ishii has been blocked by permission from clubs who are reluctant to release their players to the AFF Cup. Because this biennial competition goes against the agenda of the club.

Thai League 1 2024/25 is the same as Liga 1 2024/25 which will continue to run throughout the event AFF Cup 2024. Chanathip and Dangda defended BG Pathum United. Meanwhile Theerathon and Supachai will strengthen Buriram United.

Supachai’s loss is perhaps Thailand’s biggest loss. The player from Pattani in southern Thailand is a goal-hungry striker who was the top scorer in Thai League 1 last season with 21 goals.
