26 goals from eight games AFF Cup 2020 created. Safawi Rasid so far the most fertile player, followed by Rachmat Irianto.
Safawi became the first player to score a hat-trick in the 2020 AFF Cup. One goal was contributed via the penalty spot as Malaysia beat Cambodia 3-1.
The player belonging to the Johor Darul Ta’zim club then scored a hat-trick as Malaysia crushed Laos 4-0. Safawi has now collected four goals and made his name at the top of the temporary top scorer list.
Rachmat Irianto followed right behind Safawi. The player who can operate as a defender and defensive midfielder scored two goals as Indonesia beat Cambodia 4-2.
Ikhsan Fandi has also scored two goals. He got it when Singapore beat Myanmar 3-0 in the first game of Group A.
Cambodia has three players who each contributed three goals. They were Yue Safy with a header against Indonesia from a corner, Prak Mony Udom with a free kick against Indonesia, and Sath Rosib from a penalty against Malaysia.
Akhyar Rashid, one of the dangerous players from Malaysia, scored one goal against Myanmar. He then missed the second match when Harimau Malaya met Laos.
