SINGAPORE – Four players get the title as the top scorer or top scorer in AFF Cup 2020. The four players in question are Malaysian defender, Safawi Rasid, Bienvenido Maranon (Philippines), Chanathip Songkrasin (Thailand) and Teerasil Dangda (Thailand), who both scored 4 goals.
Yes, the four players mentioned above became the top scorers in the 2020 AFF Cup because they managed to collect four goals throughout the biennial tournament. Thailand can be proud because two of its players are able to become the top scorers in the 2020 AFF Cup.
Of course, of the names, the most interesting is Safawi. Malaysia failed to advance to the semifinals, however, they should be proud to have Safawi Rasid who scored a goal in the group stage. He successfully scored four goals against Cambodia, and made a hat trick against Laos.

Maranon also got a similar nick. The Filipino player was able to show his quality when he scored a hat trick against Myanmar, as well as adding another goal against Timor Leste.
Thailand then has two players who get the top scorer. They are Songkrasin and also Dangda, thus helping the War Elephant Team to become champions.
Songkrasin actually only scored two games. However, he made 2 goals in both lags. respectively against Vietnam in the first leg of the semifinals and Indonesia in the first leg of the final round.
