Hamburg is a growing city. More people, more needs and in less and less space. Then there is the fight against climate change. In addition to the urgently needed construction of affordable housing, we also need a turnaround in mobility. The red-green Senate is committed to a city with few cars and therefore more livable quarters. With the introduction of what are now 40 resident parking zones, residents are to be protected and the switch to alternative means of transport encouraged. According to the AfD parliamentary group, something like this would ignore the reality of life “and is now calling for cars to be taken into account in construction projects.
