Enrollment in Unemployment Insurance is automatic for people with an employment contract that has come into force as of the October 2, 2002. In turn, voluntary membership will be allowed for those who are under one that has entered into force prior to that date.
In this way, workers will have a Individual Unemployment Account in the AFC, in which the resources that are the exclusive property of the owner are accumulated. These are gathered from the Quote charged to the gross salary received by each user.
How do I know how much money I have in my Unemployment Insurance?
To know the amounts collected in each individual Unemployment Insurance account, you must enter the virtual branch of AFC site, by means of a password in the service or with the Unique Key of the Civil Registry.
Once inside, the money obtained by each worker is automatically indicated in the “Account balance”.
How to check if I have lag amounts in the AFC?
Within the funds in the AFC there may be lag amounts, which arise from overpaid or improperly paid contributions to Unemployment Insurance by the employer, so they must be returned.
These can be consulted by entering the platform as mentioned above and then you must click on the button “lags to be returned”.
