AEW Full Gear 2024 Results

JJ Williams/WON

This Saturday, November 23, 2024 on the AEW side is Full Gear 2024, the penultimate pay-per-view of the year with the main event being the AEW world championship match between Jon Moxley and Orange Cassidy.

Mercedes Moné also puts her TBS title on the line against Kris Statlander, Jack Perry defends the TNT title against Daniel Garcia, Konosuke Takeshita defends the International title against Ricochet, while the tag team titles are defended by Private Party in a 4- Way.

Also on the program are matches between MJF and Roderick Strong, Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher, Bobby Lashley against Roderick Strong, and Jay White against Hangman Page.

Pre-show « Zero Hour »

Anna Jay beat Deonna Purrazzo by pinfall with a roll up.

Buddy Matthews defeated Dante Martin, Komander and The Beast Mortos by pinfall with a curb stomp on Komander.

Big Boom AJ a battu QT Marshall by pinfall with his Power-Boom, preceded by a spear from young Big Justice.

First successful defense for Private Party

The main card show begins with the AEW Tag Team Championship match defended by Private Party in a 4-Way match, against The Outrunners, The Acclaimed and the House of Black.

Private Party ont battu The Acclaimed, House of Black et les Outrunners by falling with their Gin’n’Juice on Anthony Bowens to retain their titles.

It’s not a joy for The Acclaimed, slight disagreements between Bowens and Caster during the match while Billy Gunn was upset around the ring.

MJF makes his entrance for the next match in which he faces Roderick Strong. Keen to set the mood, MJF took the microphone to insult the audience before the match.

MJF beat Roderick Strong by falling with his Salt of The Earth.

After the match, MJF grabbed a chair and placed it around Strong’s arm before crushing him. Adam Cole, the rest of United Kingdom and Kyle O’Reilly make their entrance but too late, they couldn’t save Strong and MJF fled through the audience. O’Reilly, furious, shoves Cole and leaves with Strong.

Mercedes Moné retains the TBS title with difficulty

Mercedes Moné defends her TBS championship title in the following match against Kris Statlander.

Mercedes Moné beat Kris Statlander by pinfall with a roll up after… biting Statlander’s knee. Knee on which she had already worked hard during the match.

Moné remains TBS Champion after what is arguably one of her best matches in AEW. A quality that we also owe to Statlander who gave Moné a lot of trouble and who we do not hope was really injured – She had to be taken backstage by a doctor.

No title at stake in the following match. Jay White faces Hangman Page.

Jay White a battu Hangman Page by falling with his Blade Runner.

White celebrates his victory on the ramp after the match, but with his back turned, he is attacked by Page. Christopher Daniels and some officials come to stop him, but Daniels takes a loaf from Page who then quickly goes backstage.

Kyle Fletcher beats his master

The next match is a clash between the master and his student. Will Ospreay faces a crowned Kyle Fletcher (literally) accompanied by Don Callis.

Kyle Fletcher defeated Will Ospreay by pinfall with a brainbuster from the top rope, preceded by a lariat and a Helluvah Kick.

Surprising victory for Fletcher over Ospreay who gave everything to make Fletcher a star in this match.

Mariah May and Mina Shirakawa came over for a little celebration. If you were expecting a return of Toni Storm, she will remain in retirement for the time being. Mina Shirakawa probably didn’t expect what happened next either, since May tried to attack her from the back with the champagne bottle. It was in vain, and the Japanese threw herself at the champion and crashed into a table. Shirakawa gets up, his mouth bleeding while May remains on the ground. She leaves a few marks of blood on the latter’s forehead at the tip of her lips. There is no more friendship.

Daniel Garcia champion TNT

Return to action with the TNT championship title at stake, defended by Jack Perry against Daniel Garcia who is entitled to a short video clip in introduction to this match.

Daniel Garcia defeated Jack Perry by submission with his Dragon Tamer to win the TNT title.

Huge victory for Garcia rewarded by a huge pop from the public who nevertheless had difficulty being reactive before the end of the match. First solo title for Garcia in AEW for a reign that we hope is solid.

We remain in the competition with this time the title of International champion at stake. Konosuke Takeshita, accompanied by Don Callis, defends his belt against Ricochet.

Konosuke Takeshita a battu Ricochet by pinfall with a Falcon Arrow avalanche to retain his title.

Ricochet’s first loss in AEW since his arrival. A good match which, however, the public had difficulty getting into, undoubtedly still recovering from Garcia’s victory.

Bobby Lashley victorious over Swerve Strickland

Swerve Strickland and Bobby Lashley face off in the next match. Strickland had refused to join the Hurt Syndicate despite offers from MVP, who was at ringside for the match.

Bobby Lashley a battu Swerve Strickland via submission with his Hurt Lock, Strickland lost consciousness in the hold.

After the match the Hurt Syndicate joined Lashley in the ring and attacked Prince Nana who was trying to protect Strickland from a possible beating. Nana also undergoes the Hurt Lock.

Jon Moxley retains his title, everyone takes on the Death Riders

It’s time for the main event, where Jon Moxley, who arrives in the parking lot with his Death Riders, defends his AEW world champion title against Orange Cassidy.

Claudio Castagnoli and PAC arrived with the obvious intention of interfering in the match, but Tomohiro Ishii, Kyle O’Reilly and Rocky Romero arrived to stop them. Marina Shafir also wanted to intervene with the briefcase, but Willow Nightingale came to take care of her.

Cassidy grabbed the briefcase to hit Moxley behind the referee’s back, but only got a two count, Moxley getting up at the very last moment. An intervention from Wheeler YUTA will end the match, allowing Moxley to finish.

Jon Moxley playing Orange Cassidy by pinfall with his Death Rider to retain his title.

After the match Wheeler YUTA enters the ring with a bottle of cleaning product which he pours on the wounds of Orange Cassidy who has a bloody face. It disinfects.

The interventions will follow one another: Hangman Page arrives in the ring and fires Wheeler YUTA with a chair shot, Christian Cage then arrives and carries a Killswitch while Page brings Cage’s contract for the championship match. But as Cage was about to give it to the referee, Jay White stopped him and gave him a Blade Runner. Claudio Castagnoli and PAC take care of White before leaving with the rest of the Death Riders.

In the parking lot, Moxley’s gang tries to get to their car when it gets hit by another one. Darby Allin gets out while Jon Moxley and his partners steal another car to escape.
