Aerosmith, one of the most iconic bands in rock history, has announced the cancellation of its US tour and its definitive retirement from the stage. In an emotional message shared on its official Instagram account, the band explained that the decision is due to the delicate vocal health of its leader and vocalist, Steven Tyler.
Tyler has been dealing with a vocal cord injury since last year and despite his best efforts and the support of the best medical team, he has not managed to fully recover.
The band had announced in April their North American tour to say goodbye to the stage and celebrate their 50-year career, with 40 concerts scheduled between September 2024 and February 2025.
Despite their retirement from the stage, Aerosmith has not closed the door to other creative projects. Fans of the band can still hope that they will continue to produce music and leave their mark on generations with their legacy.
