A retail company from Japan, PT AEON Indonesia, which currently has 4 stores, plans to open 10 new stores in the Jabodetabek area by the end of 2025. This is in line with the improving post-pandemic economic conditions.
President Director of PT AEON Indonesia Takahiro Osugi said the plan to add 10 new stores is one of the company’s efforts to absorb labor in the area around AEON Stores. AEON Store tenants will later be opened in several malls, not only AEON Mall.
“So far, AEON Store has only been open in AEON Mall, but in 2023 AEON Store will open as a tenant from another Mall in Alam Sutera Mall and Kota Wisata Cibubur, while in 2024-2025, we will open in Bekasi, Cikarang and Jababeka. This opportunity is a strategic step for AEON Store to introduce a new concept that aligns people’s lifestyle changes after the pandemic,” he explained in a written statement, Saturday (11/3/2023).
Osugi assesses that the presence of the AEON Store is always positively welcomed by the community. AEON Store strives to become a retail company that can support customers’ daily lives by jointly improving the quality of life of the community.
“In the future, AEON Store will consistently strive to provide products that are known by the people of Indonesia as well as products made in Japan that are tailored to the tastes of the Indonesian market to be able to satisfy people who are in AEON’s coverage area. Stores,” he said.
In order to make it easier for customers to buy AEON Store products, a shopping service via whatsapp (RAISA) is also available from all AEON stores using a delivery system that reaches up to 15km from the nearest store as well as a pick-up service.
Through the RAISA service, customers can order the goods they need via whatsapp and AEON’s trained personal shopper will immediately prepare and send the customer’s groceries using online transportation. Customers can also choose to pick up groceries that have been prepared directly at the RAISA corner which is available in all AEON Stores.
AEON Store products can also be purchased through e-commerce platforms. AEON Store also has an AEON member application Points where members can get special prices for certain products and collect points that can be exchanged for AEON Store shopping e-Vouchers.
“In the future, we will also focus more on developing other online shopping platforms so that our products will be more easily accessible to people throughout Indonesia,” said Takahiro Osugi.
