It’s official! AEK announced the acquisition of Anthony Martial, who signed a cooperation contract until 2027 with his annual salary reaching 3.5 million euros.

Anthony Martial was born on December 5, 1995 in Massy, France. At the age of 8 he joined the infrastructure departments of the local Ouli and six years later Lyon decided to acquire him. In his first season with the U17s, he scored 32 goals in 21 matches, while also making four appearances with the first team until the summer of 2013, when at the age of 17, Monaco spent €5 million to sign him.
With the Principality team, he made 70 appearances over the next two years, scoring 15 goals. In the summer of 2015, the biggest step of his career followed, as on the last day of transfers Manchester United spent almost 60 million euros including bonuses to make him theirs. The amount was a record in Premier League history for a player under the age of 20.
At United, Martial’s career took off. He made 317 appearances (90 goals, 47 assists) over the next nine years, with a six-month loan spell at Sevilla in the second half of the 2021-22 season (12 appearances, 1 goal, 1 assist). In terms of trophies, they won the 2015–16 FA Cup, the 2016–17 Carabao Cup, the 2016 Community Shield, the 2016–17 UEFA Europa League, the 2022–23 Carabao Cup and the FA Cup of the 2023-24 season.
At the same time, he was an international player with all the small national teams of France, while in September 2015 he made his debut with the Men’s National Team, with which he has 30 appearances and two goals to date, being a member of the team that won the UEFA Nations League in 2021.
