The Aegean network
The expansion of the Aegean network, which exceeded 180 destinations in 49 countries, adding more than 30 new international destinations in the summer season, and especially in the winter, but also the increase in the capacity offered with almost 2.2 million more available international seats compared to 2022, they contributed to the strong growth momentum and the success recorded. At the same time, the strengthening of the mood and ability of Greeks for leisure trips, combined with the high dynamics of tourist demand throughout the year, contributed to the further strengthening of both the main hub of Athens and Thessaloniki, as well as smaller, less prominent destinations, with AEGEAN having contributed catalytically to the diffusion of the tourist product, but also to the expansion of the tourist season, giving increased options to passengers during the winter months as well. New destinations, such as Dubai, Innsbruck and Bratislava, but also the maintenance of summer routes (from Athens to Bristol, Malaga, Bilbao, Tallinn, Riga, Tunisia, but also to Barcelona from Thessaloniki ) during the winter season, resulted in a 23% increase in seat kilometers, surpassing 20 billion seat kilometers compared to 2022.
