AEG “Geo Milev” – Burgas launched a partnership with Sofia University

Since yesterday, the Burgas English High School “Geo Milev” is in an official partnership with Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” branch Burgas. The oldest higher education institution in Bulgaria and the elite high school signed a contract for cooperation in the field of humanities.

The two educational institutions combine their efforts, experience and resources to create an educational space that not only prepares pupils and students for the challenges they will face in the future, but also inspires them to achieve optimal results.

The meeting was attended by SU “St. Kliment Ohridski” branch Burgas Prof. Dr. Teodor Sedlarski – director, Mrs. Galina Nencheva – chief legal advisor, and Mrs. Plamena Apostolova – administrative secretary, and on behalf of AEG “Geo Milev” Mrs. Jacqueline Neicheva – director , Mrs. Krasimira Miteva and Mrs. Sonia Bachvarova – deputy principals of UD, Mr. Bozhidar Goranov – deputy principal of ASD, Bozhidar Bozhkov – RKO, and Mrs. Mariana Vedrichkova – head teacher.

Before the official signing of the agreement, the representatives of the two countries discussed the forms of joint activity. In the future, the Burgas branch of Sofia University will support the educational process and provide methodological support to the English high school in developing new curricula, and the high school will help adapt the curricula of selected subjects taught in the branch.

The cooperation will also promote the organization of common cultural and educational events, as well as thematic trainings to improve the qualifications of the teaching staff from both countries. Thanks to the built partnership capacity of the university, AEG-Burgas will expand its national and international network, and the graduates of the high school will be able to benefit from extensive resources in all fields of science.

The plans also include activities on professional career guidance and stimulating the participation of high school students in the university’s initiatives.
