SOLTI and the Spanish Association Against Cancer have reached a collaboration agreement according to which the AECC will now endorse the HOPE study with the aim of contributing and increasing the dissemination of draft and its results. HOPE is the first real-life, patient-led clinical practice study with metastatic breast cancer nationwide to expand knowledge and research on this disease.
Despite the fact that the majority of breast cancer patients are cured, there are currently more than 15,000 patients with metastatic breast cancer in Spain who are forced to face a disease, until today, incurable. HOPE facilitates their inclusion in the study through a mobile application that starts an individual journey for the molecular characterization and integration of clinical data of each one of them. The project has already included more than 370 patients.
