ADY called for pedestrians

On November 2, at around 08:20, the locomotive belonging to ADY was moving in the Shirvan-Hajigabul district, when the resident of Shirvan city, Rahima Afat gizi Babayeva, born in 1997, suddenly stepped in front of the train together with her young child. SIA reports that even though the driver applied emergency braking, the incident was unavoidable. The injured Rahima Babayeva was immediately rushed to the hospital.

ADY once again appeals to people to cross railway lines using only designated ground and pedestrian crossings. Obeying the rules is the duty of every citizen, especially parents should be an example to their children by obeying the traffic rules and should not put their lives in danger.

It should be noted that in 9 months of this year, 10 incidents occurred as a result of people suddenly stepping onto the train track. As a result of the incident, 5 people lost their lives, and 5 people were injured in various degrees. The reason for the occurrence of these incidents was directly related to the fact that pedestrians did not follow traffic rules and crossed the railway line at unspecified places.
