Libreville, Monday December 18, 2023 (Infos Gabon) – The Gabonese president continues his explanatory mission this Monday to the Secretary General of the United Nations in New York.
The Gabonese president is in New York in the United States where he is due to meet with the secretary general of the United Nations (UN). During a tête-à-tête planned for the occasion, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema intends to explain to Antonio Guterres the current situation in Gabon, in particular the reasons for the coup carried out on August 30 and the chronogram presenting the calendar of the Committee for the Transition and Restoration of Institutions (CTRI) which ends in August 2025 with the organization of elections. Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema will also have to speak with Denis Francis, president of the UN General Assembly.
During this trip, the Gabonese president will inaugurate the premises of the Permanent Mission of Gabon and present distinctions to Gabonese diplomatic staff. An exchange with the Gabonese diaspora is planned for Tuesday, December 19 at Armenian Hall.
