Need advice regarding treatment reductions,
After many side effects and the appearance of new serious pathologies, due to tritherapy, I asked my infectious disease specialist to reduce my treatments, knowing that I have been taking them since 1996!
He did not agree and I had to really insist and bang my fist on the table, he finally agreed to switch me to dual therapy, Pifeltro and Tivicay but by warning me, by making me feel guilty and especially by being protecting with a mail so that I do not hold it responsible if however, I made a resistance to the meds !!
Not great for maintaining a relationship of trust with your doctor.
So I changed but I do not listen much to the news that is in the same hospital, who is very young and maybe wants to oppose the one who is his superior and my ex doctor !
I remain convinced and above all it becomes a need, I must lower the treatment further to try to reduce these side effects, so while waiting to find a comprehensive infectious disease specialist, I would like to know your experiences in terms of relief, do you know what? are the possibilities of relief with a dual therapy and are you satisfied with it if you practice it?
I would like to add that if you have an infectious disease specialist practicing treatment reduction to advise me in Annecy, Grenoble or Lyon, I am a taker!
