The adventurous vacation of the singer of the band Wohnout had a rough ending. After a motorcycle accident, Matěj Homola ended up in an Albanian hospital. He is now in the Czech Republic, where he had to undergo surgery for a broken collarbone right after his arrival. Pavel Nedvěd, a friend of his ex-partner, took him to the hospital.
Motorcycles are a big passion of Wohnout frontman Matěj Homola. And now he got his revenge. While on vacation in Albania, his dog got tangled up under the wheels of the machine, Homola fell and broke his collarbone. He had no choice but to end the trip and fly to the Czech Republic for surgery.
The singer Dara Rolins, with whom the singer has a daughter Laura (15), was in contact with him and his current partner Andrea all the time. And so it was Dara and her partner Pavel Nedvěd who took the injured Matěj to the hospital for surgery.
“Matěj is a hero, and sometimes quite unnecessarily. I was texting with his girlfriend Andrea, and as it happens, we women are more worried about men than they are. She asked me if I had time and if I could pick up Matěj at airport. Otherwise, he will go to the hospital by taxi. I was just going to the performance, but Pavel was sitting next to me and immediately offered to drop him there,” TN.cz Dara Rolins confided.
The singer cannot boast of how well she gets along with her ex-partner. “We are really living proof of how things can work in some families. For example, when Matěj and Andrea were on a motorcycle trip in Italy, they stopped at our place and even slept there. So we have a really good relationship,” Dara described.
Fifteen-year-old Laura had to quickly change her holiday plans due to her father’s accident. Instead of taking a vacation together, she is now looking after her injured father. “She’s already looking forward to seeing her dad, tomorrow she’s moving to Vyžlovka. She’ll be a bit of a nurse, so they’ll enjoy the holidays a little differently than planned,” explained the singer.
However, Wohnout fans do not have to worry about missing the band’s concerts. “Matej is the type of person who doesn’t just put something down. I think he’s already thinking about how he’ll put the guitar on stage in some kind of grip so he doesn’t have to use his injured hand. If that doesn’t work, he’ll just sing,” added his former partner Dara Rollins.
