It is probably common knowledge that Salzburg is not only worth a trip during Advent. The fact that in Salzburg you can probably drink what is probably the best mulled wine far and wide – maybe not.
For more than 25 years, our regional office in Salzburg has had the opportunity to operate a mulled wine stand at the Advent market – in addition to numerous guests from Salzburg and the surrounding area, many European visitors also come during the Christmas season.
At the Alter Markt (right in front of the Tomaselli cafe) homemade mulled wine is cooked and served according to an old recipe. The particularity? All net proceeds go to the Austrian Children’s Villages Society of Salzburg.
