The tunnel has an average depth of almost 10 meters and is more than a meter wide. The tunnel is believed to have served for drug trafficking to the US for several months.
Inside the tunnel, DEA agents found more than two tons of drugs, including cocaine and meth. In total, five different types of drugs were found, which the authorities say is unique.
The tunnel ran partly under a recently built wall between Mexico and the US. The underground connection was made between two department stores.
In late January, one of the longest drug tunnels ever rolled in the area.
