The jury in the singing section, consisting of Ali Mohsen Al-Akwa, Osama Al-Amir, Abdel-Azim Ezz Al-Din and Muhammad Aqeel, appreciated the performance of the participants and made some comments such as breaking the barrier of fear when standing in the theater.
In its evaluation of the singers’ performance, the jury recommended that the hymn part be performed in the same manner as it was recited in the melody of the poetic poem, and pointed out that it is important to master the traditional colors such as Al-Tahami, Al-Ta’azi, Al-San’ani, Al-Hadrami and other rich Yemeni colors so that the participant can enjoy the quality of a real singer.
She explained that participants in these competitions have advanced after three previous rounds before the start of the festival, which qualifies them for the rank of outstanding singer if they reach the final.
In addition, Abdul Qader Al-Banna, Abdullah Abdul Rahman and Jamal Al-Maori competed in the poetry category.
The participants listened to the evaluation of the jury consisting of Karim Al-Hanaki, Abdul Hafeez Al-Khazan, Dr. Ibrahim Talha and Dr. Dhaif Allah Al-Duraib, who praised the participants and made observations on the depth of the poetry and adherence to the rules of the Arabic language so that the participants’ poetry was clear.
The event included an interlude featuring the folk heritage of ancient chants, the flashing of a luminous lamp giving insights into the life of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, a song in praise of the Messenger of God, and a play entitled “Inside Your Head” expressing Western ideas that are alien to young people in the context of the soft war.
