On a website where so-called “escorts” advertise for sexual services in Norway, a woman with big deer eyes and a mouthful looks into the camera.
The text goes straight to the point: «Hottest Ukrainian sluts! Filthy and alluring ». In Norwegian something like «Hot Ukrainian slut! Dirty and attractive ». The women will be available in Oslo, according to the ad, which has a Ukrainian telephone number.
Another ad advertises for women who have just arrived from the war-torn country: It says that the women are “Fresh and dirty from Lviv Ukraine” – “fresh and dirty” from the city of Lviv in Ukraine.
These women will also be available in the Oslo area, and can be reached through a Ukrainian number.
At the time of writing, 16 advertisements for women in Norway who are stated to be from Ukraine are out on this service. On another popular escort site in Norway, there are 15 ads, where the woman’s nationality is stated to be from Ukraine.
Dagbladet has contacted the two websites about the ads, but has so far not received a response.

It is difficult to confirm when the Ukrainian women in the sex ads have come to Norway.
But in an advertisement for a 24-year-old woman, which was posted on 12 or 13 April, it says that “I am in Norway for the first time”.
In another advertisement, from a woman who is to be 24 years old and from Ukraine, there are already several “reviews” written in Norwegian. The first “review” of the woman is dated March 31, 2022 – just over a month after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

– Swedish and Norwegian men who buy sex from these women invest in organized crime, says Swedish Simon Häggström to Dagbladet.
He is a police inspector at Sweden’s national human trafficking group, has many years of experience as a police officer with a focus on human trafficking and prostitution, and also current with the crime novel “The girls who ran” – including about prostitution.
Häggström has previously warned about the prostitution of Ukrainian women in the Stockholm area, in a posts on Instagram.
For while the war is raging in Ukraine, and over 4.6 million people have fled the country, there is another “business” that has good times: Traffickers. Dagbladet has previously written about how young women who have fled the war, are picked up by unknown people in Poland – and risks becoming a victim of human trafficking.

At the end of March, Häggström and his colleagues in the Swedish police arrested 38 men who were suspected of buying sex, in the police operation “insert cod”, according to SVT. “Cod” is Swedish slang for someone who buys sexual services.
Of the 38 men, 30 are said to have bought sex from Ukrainian women. Many of the Ukrainian women state that it was the war that caused them to end up in prostitution, says Häggström.

The women are said to have been lured into sex trafficking through Ukrainian online forums, where backers offer “package solutions” with travel and accommodation, writes SVT.
Many of the women are said to have stated that they had no previous experience with prostitution. Several are said to have sold their bodies to help families who are on the run or who are still in Ukraine.
The Swedish police inspector Häggström tells Dagbladet that the police in Sweden had already seen an increase in women from Ukraine in the Swedish sex market in the last two years, as a result of difficult economic times during the pandemic. Now he fears what will happen next.
