The trail is named after the Luxembourg jurist, economist and writer Adrien Ries (1933 – 1991), who coined the term “Nordstad” for the urban settlement area of Diekirch/Ettelbruck. The passionate hiker who has traveled thousands of kilometers across Luxembourg and all of Europe.
The Adrien Ries Trail is divided into three hiking loops.
