Adrien Fourmaux Secures Second WRC Podium Finish in Kenya Rally

Adrien Fourmaux is starting to taste the champagne of the WRC podium. A month after his first in the premier category in Sweden, the Northerner did it again this weekend in Kenya where he once again placed 3rd.

Aware that he does not yet have the weapons to fight for victory, especially against a Kalle Rovanperä in great form, the M-Sport driver was studious throughout. No mechanical problems, few errors, Adrien Fourmaux showed patience and the hazards of the race worked in his favor. Thierry Neuville, Esapekka Lappi, Elfyn Evans and Ott Tänak all experienced problems during the Safari and this allowed the Habs to take the podium.

Once on it, behind the Yaris of Kalle Rovanperä and Takamoto Katsuta, the driver of the Puma No. 16 hung on and never left it again. Protected from a return from his pursuers behind, Adrien Foumaux went for a new result which will allow him to gain a little more confidence.

« I am so happyhe smiled at the end of the Kenya Rally. But I have to thank the team(there was) no problems with the car all weekend. They did a fantastic job, real teamwork, I’m glad it worked. I dedicate this podium to them, I’m really very happy! »

With this second podium, Adrien Fourmaux remains in 3rd place in the world championship with 46 points, or 21 less than leader Thierry Neuville, 5th at the Safari.
