Second division SC Paderborn has signed Saarbrücken’s Adriano Grimaldi (32) on a free transfer.
BILD reported that the striker will leave FCS and move to the 2nd division. Ex-FCS coach Lukas Kwasniok’s club announced the change on Thursday morning.

Paderborn’s Managing Director Sport Benjamin Weber: “Adriano has already proven his sporting value in the highest German leagues many times. With him we gain a powerful and dangerous attacker who further optimizes our possibilities in the squad.”
Grimaldi wanted to be closer to his family, who live in Göttingen. There was no shortage of offers for the goal prince anyway, because he fought back from injury and was a difference player in the 3rd division.
Second division team Paderborn is 139 kilometers away. It was a long 400 kilometers from Saarbrücken home. Now the family (three small children) can come and watch. That spurs on the centre-forward in particular.
Saarbrücken manager Rüdiger Ziehl (45) must now find a replacement.
