On Wednesday this week, it was exactly one year since reality profile and artist Adrian Sellevoll (25) decided to go swimming at night in Bergen and climbed onto a roof. It ended up going horribly wrong when he fell straight onto the edge of the quay from a height of seven metres.
Sharing new photos after the horror accident
The accident resulted in several injuries, including a fractured neck, collarbone, and three fractures in the jaw on the right side. At the time, he also said that he had “minor injuries everywhere”.

In a new post on Instagram, the 25-year-old reflects on the accident. He does not hide that there are many different thoughts that have gone through his mind in the past year.
“I am unable to put into words whether I have understood the seriousness even though it has been so long, or whether I have actually started and rather stopped taking risks that are simply too high?”, he writes at the beginning.
– I am grateful
Further in the post, the reality profiler writes that he is fully aware that he was lucky and that he should never have jumped.
In bad luck
“I, who am supposed to be a role model, should not expose myself to that danger. I should never have gone up on that roof and done it after a long day of drinking alcohol.”
Sellevoll describes himself as a person who often takes chances, and that there has always been something inside him that has said “just do it”.
“It is often a good quality, but not always. I missed so much last summer because of it and I was dying. Take care of each other this summer,” he writes, adding:
“I am humble, grateful, happy and motivated that I am alive to this day, and I am so appreciative of everyone who helped at the scene of the accident, Haukeland, and who has subsequently helped me”.
Reveals paralysis after horror accident
In conclusion, he thanks friends and family, as well as nurses and anesthetists for giving him love and care through the tough times.

When Dagbladet spoke to Sellevoll shortly after the accident last year, he was able to reveal that he had suffered facial paralysis.
– Yes, I am paralyzed in the lower part of my right jaw and a little above my cheek, and it feels very strange and unfamiliar. It is possible that it is permanent, but the doctors say that in some cases the feeling comes back little by little after six months have passed, he said, and added:

A short time later, the TV profile also shared that he has had strong psychological problems after what happened, in addition to the physical.
– I have suffered from nightmares and anxiety for many years, so it is nothing new. But now it’s tenfold and I really struggle at night – because then I’m all alone in the dark. Then the train of thought begins. I wake up all the time, sleep badly and have a lot of pain. After all, the painkillers wear off at some point, and then I can wake up from nightmares. It hurts so much in my whole body that I wake up crying, he wrote in an SMS to Dagbladet.
