Adrian Krucker (SVP) takes the last seat on the Gossau school board. He received 44 percent of the valid votes. In September 2020 he was elected to parliament for another term of office. He will not take up this mandate.
On September 27, 2020, only five of the six seats on the Gossau School Board had been filled. Pakize Sönmez (FDP) was in sixth place, but missed the absolute majority. In the second ballot she stood for election again. Likewise Shirley Mc Masters (FLiG), who had come seventh in the first ballot. Adrian Krucker (SVP) was a new candidate.
With a turnout of almost 40 percent, 4622 valid ballot papers were submitted. Adrian Krucker received 2,041 votes, which corresponds to a share of 44 percent. For Shirley McMasters 1,625 votes (35%) were received, for Pakize Sönmez 932 votes (20%). Adrian Krucker has already announced that if he is elected, he will decide on the task of the school board. This means that he cannot exercise his mandate in the city parliament during the new term of office.
