BVComedian Adriaan Van den Hoof (50) canceled his theatrical performance in May due to the hustle and bustle. Several women accused him of inappropriate behavior, with disastrous consequences. His place as “Switch” presenter went to “Studio Brussel” presenter Fien Germijns (27) and he was nowhere to be seen on stage until last night.

Adriaan Van den Hoof’s play “It Won’t Be Clean When It’s Finished” was abruptly canceled last May when several women were discovered to have accused the presenter and comedian of inappropriate behavior and aggression. “There is a little too much commotion around him right now for the performance to take place in a serene atmosphere,” she played.

But last night the comedian resumed his tour in Herent after a long hiatus. According to “Het Nieuwsblad”, the allegations were not explicitly reconsidered during the show, but during the show he let slip something here and there. “They say things about me that are not true.” Van den Hoof was visibly grateful for his audience’s participation and applause. “Thank you for coming, really,” he said with emotion.

On the defensive
Last June, the comedian took a defensive line on the allegations and did so with a written statement. “The allegations made by the media have hit very hard,” he began. Van den Hoof later apologized: “I have had several short-term relationships and have sometimes been unfaithful. This is only a private matter, but I would like to apologize to the women, my family, loved ones and friends that I have offended for my behavior ”. But he denied the allegations of physical assault. “These allegations are false,” he said. He even suspected he knew who was behind it. “In 2020 there was a woman who called me up to 300 times a day and kept writing to me. I recognize her style. She clearly she started over. “
