Adobe pays $ 1.5 billion for Workfront

Adobe announced in one yesterday Press release announced the purchase of the work management and project management platform Workfront for 1.5 billion dollars. The aim is to expand the Experience Cloud business unit, which also includes marketing, advertising and analysis software.

With more than 3000 customers and over a million users, Workfront is considered the leading work management platform for marketers. Workfront helps marketers to efficiently manage their content, plan and track marketing campaigns, and execute complex workflows across teams. This should enable companies to maintain the productivity of their employees in the home office. Workfront CEO Alex Shootman told the company Bloombergthat interest in Workfront’s software has increased during the pandemic as marketing firms seek more insight into who is working on which part of a project.

The two companies have worked together in the past and have over 1000 joint customers, including T-Mobile, Under Armor and Nordstrom. The purchase is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2021.
