FAJAR.CO.ID, PAREPARE — PSM Makassar had to admit Persija Jakarta’s 2-3 lead in the match in Week 18 of the 2023/2024 League 1 season.
The match between PSM Makassar vs Persija Jakarta itself took place at the Gelora BJ Habibie Stadium, Parepare City, Friday (3/11/2023).
The only goal scored in the first half was created by Witan Sulaeman in the 27th minute.
Meanwhile, Ryo Matsumura scored four goals in the second half in the 46th minute and Witan Sulaeman in the 82nd minute. Before that, Safruddin Tahar in the 61st minute and Victor Mansaray in the 63rd minute.
With this result, PSM Makassar coach Bernardo Tavares admitted that the team always had difficulties when facing Persija Jakarta.
He even admitted that in the last eight meetings between the two teams, PSM Makassar had never once won.
“The matches against Persija Jakarta are always difficult. “And we have to admit that PSM has never won against Persija,” said Bernardo Tavares in the press conference session after the match on Friday (3/11/2023).
This coach from Portugal also admitted that the team also made mistakes which forced them to accept defeat.
It’s just that according to him, the referee who led this match was not fair to his team. Where, according to him, several moments actually harmed PSM Makassar.
“It seems like we also made mistakes in our game. “We didn’t lose because of anything else,” he said.
