President Ali Bongo met with the Commander-in-Chief of the Chinese Navy on Thursday 1is June 2023, at the Renovation Palace.
Within the framework of Sino-Gabonese cooperation, Admiral Dong Jun met with the Head of State Ali Bongo Ondimba on various subjects of common interest. In particular on military and defense cooperation in terms of capacity building on both the civil and military levels and on the fight against terrorism and securing Gabonese territory.
Admiral Dong Jun thanked President Ali Bongo Ondimba for the interest shown in his delegation, granting them this audience. He then conveyed the greetings and friendships of President Xi Jinping to the Gabonese Head of State.
Remember that the two Heads of State made Gabon and China go from the concept of ” global cooperation partnership in 2016, to that of “ comprehensive cooperation strategic partnership “, last April during the last visit of the President of the Republic Ali Bongo to Beijing.
