“Administration of Aïn Sbaa Local Prison Denies Preferential Treatment to Detainee Mohamed Moubdi: Clarification Statement”

The administration of the local prison of Aïn Sbaa denied what was conveyed by certain electronic sites and on social networks about the preferential treatment granted to the prisoner Mohamed Moubdi, placed in preventive detention within this penitentiary establishment.

Everything that has been published concerning the granting of any kind of preferential treatment to the benefit of the detainee Mohamed Moubdi is devoid of any foundation, indicated on Tuesday the administration of the Aïn Sbaa local prison in a clarification, stating that the person in question was admitted to the clinic of the establishment after consulting the doctor to ensure his state of health.

The inmate suffered from several illnesses

The held claimed that he suffered from several illnesses, some of which are chronic, and that he had undergone surgical operations, the same source said, adding that it was decided to place him in the prison clinic for follow-up of his condition and a medical check up.

The administration concerned also refutes the allegations published on an alleged contact between the detainee MM and the detainee HT, imprisoned in the same establishment within the framework of another case, noting that the two residents in question are not in the same district. .

She also asserted that the rumor that inmate HT had provided inmate MM with a cell phone was woven by the imagination of those who conveyed it, noting that the latter contacts his family via the establishment’s telephone, as well as that he received a family visit in the room reserved for this purpose, like the other detainees.
