The administration in Darmstadt should slowly reopen from Monday, May 25th.

Darmstadt’s Mayor Jochen Partsch (Greens) announced during the recent session of the city parliament that the city administration will open “step by step” again from Monday, May 25th.

Partsch described the views of people who take to the streets in Darmstadt as “problematic” to demonstrate against the Corona regulations. “The fundamental rights are not overridden,” said Partsch. “And we don’t live in a corona dictatorship,” because freedom, democracy, the rule of law and the protection of health are still guaranteed, said Partsch. The OB called for solidarity to work on the crisis.

The city announced on Friday that bathing in the Prinz von Hessen mine was still not possible.

In connection with the reopening of catering establishments, OB Partsch announced that it would check the rules for the use of public outdoor areas with regard to compliance with the escape routes.
