Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and former Maharashtra minister Aditya Thackeray has claimed that Eknath Shinde had visited Matoshree before joining hands with the BJP. Mathoshree is the family residence of the Thackerays. It is located in Bandra. Aditya added that Shinde, who came to Matoshree, cried fearing that the investigating agencies would put him in jail if he did not join hands with the BJP.
Last June, the Mahavikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra fell after Shinde revolted within the Shiv Sena with more than forty MLAs. Followed by BJP. With his support, Eknath Shinde formed the government and became the Chief Minister.
On April 11, Aditya Thackeray claimed that Eknath Shinde cried after reaching Matoshree and said that if he does not join the BJP, he will go to jail. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut also came forward to support Aditya’s claim about Shinde. Raut added that what Aditya said was 100 percent true and Shinde had also told him the same. He said that the fear of being in jail was evident in Shinde’s mind and heart.
At the same time, Maharashtra Minister Deepak Kesarkar came forward to reject Aditya Thackeray’s claim. He sneers that Aditya has a professional team that teaches him how to lie. When did Shinde visit Matoshree, BJP asked. Leader Narayan Rane also inquired.
