Hütter: “I’m extremely attached to unity”
Ex-Eintracht coach Adi Hütter commented on his transfer from Eintracht to Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2021 in the kicker. “It was still quiet for the first two or three weeks after I signed. The fact that it came out before the game in Gladbach was a real bombshell and very difficult. I wanted to continue working in peace. My big goal was to win the champions with Eintracht League to achieve,” said Hütter. “That’s why I should have said clearly: Not now, now my complete focus is on this season, in which we have a huge chance of getting into the Champions League for the first time in the club’s history. Then I could still have decided whether to stay or not go.” He is still emotionally connected to the Hessians despite the unpleasant farewell. “Gladbach is also a great club, but emotionally I still feel that I am extremely attached to Frankfurt. When I watch Eintracht games, something moves in me. It was an incredibly great time,” emphasizes Hütter.
