The organization, which encompasses 250 residences in 11 departments – 20% of the residences in the country – explained that the decision to promote, or not, vaccination will be in the hands of the specialists at each center.
Juan Sparkov, doctor and spokesperson for Aderama, explained to The Observer that the association “believes that herd immunity is already established”, and therefore they are not “with immediate urgency” to encourage vaccination against the virus as occurred at the beginning of vaccination in 2021, with several cases and deaths due to day for illness.
In the statement Aderama alleged that more and more “residents and family members” who “consult about inoculation with the new dose” against the coronavirus, most of them “with doubts or directly refusing to receive said dose.”
According to Sparkov, in all residential There are users who “believe that it is too much” with the vaccines they have already receivedwhile others “want to get vaccinated.”
Furthermore, he emphasized that “Networks also do their job” with various stories for and against inoculation. “We can’t take sides”said the spokesperson, who stressed that Aderama “is a non-profit civil association, not a scientific association.”
“The Elepem (Long Stay Establishments for the Elderly) have already been communicated. We do not compromise the Association”, Sparkov declared.
The new vaccination campaign was announced by the Minister of Health, Karina Rando, this Tuesday. Will be vaccinated at people over 50 years of age with comorbidities, everyone over 70 years old, pregnant women and immunosuppressed patients of any age. Doses will begin to be administered on February 1st in one go. This Thursday a shipment will arrive with 330 thousand Pfizer vaccines for the campaign.
Aderama’s policy with other vaccines
Sparkov indicated that Aderama supports the government in vaccination campaigns against tuberculosis and influenza.
In the case of the anti-tuberculosis vaccine, the residential association urged “fill out the forms as soon as possible” for those who must be vaccinated.
For vaccination against gripeMeanwhile, he indicated that “Everyone gets vaccinated, whoever wants to get vaccinated.”
The population’s reasons for refusing to receive a new vaccine against covid
Aderama presented seven reasons what relatives and elderly residents allege not to get vaccinated:
The “little seriousness” in “changing the expiration date of expired Pfizer vaccines and administered in the same way as in force”
“The non-obligatory nature of inoculation” of the vaccine.
The “lack of coverage and brake on transmissibility (they still get infected).”
They recognize that “herd immunity that already exists.”
They assure that “it was never explained if the deaths were “DUE” to Covid or “WITH” Covid” (sic). “Comparative statistics were never published since autopsies could not be done and they were all classified in the same way.
They have no “certainty” that “a new inoculation will prevent the disease.”
They allege “a bombardment of information crossed in mass media such as networks without official statements for some time about reliable information from the State to the general population of cardiovascular side effects in healthy people caused by intravascular coagulopathies”.
