Ademo and the muscular arrest: prosecuted for drug use and rebellion, the trial is postponed

Additional time for Ademo. The rapper’s trial for “contempt” which was to be held on Wednesday January 27, 2021, was returned on April 14 for further information by the Paris Criminal Court. The 34-year-old artist did not appear at the hearing and was thus represented by his lawyers Me Vincent Brengarth and Me William Bourdon.

They demanded that the trial take place behind closed doors in order to guarantee “complete serenity” of the proceedings. The question of the fame of Ademo – real name Tarik Andrieu – was central during this hearing. The lawyers have also recalled the great discretion of the PNL group. The judge, however, ordered additional information for a procedural issue, related to the anonymization of the identity of the police officers in the file.

On social networks, videos of Ademo’s arrest had been widely commented on. We saw the police arrest him without masks, quite violently by keeping him on the ground, under the eyes of his partner and his child. The rapper had spent twenty-four hours in police custody then had been summoned to court for “drug use”, “contempt” and “rebellion”, as reported by AFP.

He had been arrested while preparing a joint in the street. According to the police account, he immediately showed himself “verbally aggressive“and would have refused to submit to the identity check. In all, three police officers implicate Ademo. They are represented by Me de Montbrial. About fifteen colleagues came in support.
