Adele will give four concerts in August in a pop-up stadium in Munich. This open-air stadium is being built especially for her. It can accommodate 80,000 people.
It is the first time since 2016 that the popular British singer, who lives in the US, will perform on the European mainland again. Two years ago she gave two concerts in London. She is currently performing a concert series in Las Vegas. The last performance there is in June.
The singer says on Instagram that a few months ago she was asked to give a number of summer concerts in the Bavarian capital. She couldn’t resist the temptation. Not even because the Olympic Games are taking place in Paris at the same time and other artists she wants to see are performing in Europe. “I couldn’t think of a better way to spend the summer.”
The 35-year-old artist broke through in 2008 with her debut album 19. Her album 21 was the first album ever to spend 500 weeks in the Dutch Album Top 100.
She is one of the best-selling artists in the world with 120 million albums sold. She won numerous awards, including sixteen Grammy Awards and twelve Brit Awards.
