The singer published a message this Wednesday, February 28, in which she said she was ill and announced the postponement of ten concerts “on doctors’ orders.”
Adele will not sing in March. The British singer, who is performing in Las Vegas as part of her Weekends With Adele residency, announced this Wednesday, February 28 that her ten concerts scheduled for next month will be postponed “to a later date” for health reasons.
“Unfortunately, I’m going to have to slow down and take a break from my residency in Las Vegas,” she wrote on X (ex-Twitter).
She explains that she fell ill at the end of the previous stage of her show and remained ill throughout the break period in December. “I didn’t have time to completely get back on my feet before starting again and here I am again sick, which unfortunately has an effect on my voice.”
“So, on my doctor’s orders, I have no choice but to get plenty of rest,” adds Adele. “The five weekends of this stage are postponed to a later date. We are working on the details (of this postponement) and we will send you the information as quickly as possible.
See you mid-May
The dates concerned are March 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30. “I love you, I will miss you and I am sorry for this inconvenience,” writes the interpreter of I Drink Wine.
It’s been over a year since Adele kicked off this residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Initially planned for January 2022, the launch was postponed by the singer on the eve of the first show, which finally took place in November 2022.
Building on its success, the residency was extended several times. So, while it was supposed to end last November, Adele announced around thirty additional shows until next June. In all likelihood, the postponed concerts will take place afterwards. The next scheduled date is May 17.
