British music star Adele says she plans to study literature.
“If I hadn’t become a singer, I’d like to be a teacher. I think then I’d be an English teacher,” says Adele, who writes her own lyrics.
“I would very much like to major in English Literature. I wish I could have gone to university,” says Adele, who became a global star at the age of 19.
Now 34 years old and Adele concludes that she could not combine university studies with a career as a musician. But she plans to take some online courses so she can graduate in a couple of years.
Adele says she got her interest in literature from her teacher, Ms. McDonald.
“You are wonderful; I am very proud of you,” said a teacher who attended one of Adele’s concerts.
