Adelante Alcalá asks for help to reactivate the taxi sector

Adelante Alcalá has presented a series of measures to try to counteract the serious economic crisis that the taxi sector is suffering due to the coronavirus pandemic.

These measures include:

A subsidy line for the installation of protective screens to be installed in the almost 50 taxis that are in operation in the municipality of Alcalá de Henares.

Likewise, Adelante requests the inclusion of direct subsidies for self-employed Taxi drivers, as has been done with the rest of the self-employed merchants in the town.

In this context, the amounts could be approximately 500 euros to cover the costs of disinfection of the vehicles. In addition, the creation of an agreement with the cleaning sector is proposed, which would serve to collaborate with local businesses and in turn, maintain a correct sanitation of the taxi fleet.

Finally, another of the measures that are demanded is the creation of an economic fund of 5,000 euros to be allocated to taxis vouchers, focused on families at risk of exclusion with the double objective of guaranteeing the mobility of these families and injecting that fund into the sector.
