Policy set Ade Mugis (35) is the suspect murder case of Julita (25) in East Cikarang, Bekasi Regency. Ade Mugis faces the death penalty for this premeditated murder.
“Investigators applied the premeditated murder article, namely Article 340 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 338 of the Criminal Code with the threat of death or life imprisonment,” said Head of Sub-Directorate for Jatanras Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Samian to journalists, Wednesday (13/12/2023).
Article 338 of the Criminal Code reads:
Anyone who intentionally takes the life of another person is threatened with murder with a maximum imprisonment of fifteen years.
Article 340 of the Criminal Code reads:
Anyone who deliberately and with premeditation takes the life of another person, is threatened, because of premeditated murder (moord), with the death penalty or life imprisonment or for a certain period, a maximum of twenty years.
Julita Dies Poisoned
The police revealed Julita was poisoned to death by Ade Mugis. The suspect killed the victim because he felt pressured by the victim’s insistence on returning the debt.
“The perpetrator felt pressured and killed JS (the victim) by putting rat poison in the victim’s drink and food,” said Head of Sub-Directorate for Jatanras Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Samian to reporters, Monday (11/12).
Ade Mugis then planned the murder of the victim. He poisoned the victim with rat poison.
“The poison was purchased at a bird food shop in the Pasir Gombong area, North Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency,” he said.
The victim was found dead in a rented house on Friday (8/12) evening. In the early hours of Saturday (9/12), the perpetrator was arrested by the Jatanras Sub-Directorate Team, Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya in Tasikmalaya, West Java.
