FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – University of Indonesia academic Ade Armando bluntly revealed the problem of self-quarantine for people who had just returned from abroad.
Ade Armando revealed that there was a flirtation between the government and luxury hotels so that the person was quarantined in a luxury hotel.
This was revealed by the communication lecturer in CokroTV’s YouTube account, as seen on Friday (16/7).
“These institutions together with 5 and 4 star hotels are compact in using the government’s official policies to rob those who are considered to have a lot of money,” explained Ade Armando.
Ade Armando revealed that they were forced to undergo quarantine in luxury hotels until the second quarantine or 14 days.
The costs incurred are not small, can be up to tens of millions of rupiah.
“Last week, I cited stories circulating in WhatsApp groups about people being forced to quarantine and isolated in expensive hotels on the pretext of being proven to have COVID-19. The crux of the problem, they have no choice, the hotel has been set, and they can’t ask to do a PCR retest independently, “explained Ade Armando.
The prohibition of independent PCR outside the quarantine process PCR made Ade Armando surprised.
The reason is that several people tested positive at the PCR which was held at the hotel, even though they felt healthy and believed they were negative for COVID-19.
Ade Armando told the experience of a friend about the independent quarantine process at the hotel.
