This Friday, April 2, Clayens NP Morocco inaugurated the extension of its industrial unit located in Mohammedia, in the presence of Moulay Hafid Elalamy, Minister of Industry.

This extension, with a total investment of 73 million dirhams, consisted in the installation of new equipment in the Mohammedia industrial unit, equipped with cutting-edge technologies aimed at improving and optimizing manufacturing processes, as part of the process of digitization of the factory with a view to making it a “4.0 factory”.

Carried out by the group during the period of health crisis, this extension will allow the increase of 70% of the surface of the factory and “will have to generate an additional turnover of 120 million dirhams and 100 jobs, bringing the totality of the workforce at 550 jobs, “said a statement from the ministry.

This investment also meets the decarbonisation objective initiated by the group 4 years ago in order to reduce, by 2023, its carbon footprint through the use of solar energy.

“The NP Morocco plant thus concentrates the most technologies within the group and stands out as being one of the most efficient in its network of operators around the world”, the statement continued in which the Ministry of Industrie recalls that the Mohammedia plant “supplies several international customers such as LEONI, SEWS, TESCA and quite recently PSA, now Stellantis, with the production of the heating system for its electric vehicle, the Citroën AMI”.
